Using Ambetter to Pay for Addiction Treatment

In 2022, there were 4,703 reported overdoses in the state of Pennsylvania alone. Overdose is only one of the potential consequences of addiction, with others including but not limited to financial problems, legal problems, and a myriad of new or worsened physical and mental health problems.

Despite the prevalence of substance abuse and substance-related consequences in Pennsylvania and across the United States, the reality is that most individuals and families facing addiction don’t get the help they need. Cost is a significant barrier for many people in need of addiction treatment. Many people also struggle with the inability to take time off of work for treatment or identifying that they need help for substance abuse in the first place.

Promont Wellness is here to help. We accept Ambetter and other health insurance plans to make getting the highest-quality addiction treatment services possible. Your Ambetter drug and alcohol rehab coverage can help you pay for any and all of the drug rehab programs at Promont Wellness. Additionally, our outpatient programs are an excellent fit for those seeking flexible care, such as those who need to work or go to school while in substance abuse treatment.

When you call us, we’ll verify your insurance benefits for treatment for free and in as little as a few minutes or less. Just make sure that you have your insurance card or information, including your member ID and group number, ready. You can also run an insurance verification check online through the Admissions tab on our website.

Ambetter Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs at Promont Wellness

Once your insurance benefits have been verified for treatment at Promont Wellness, you can begin the next steps of the intake process. Our admissions team will provide an intake assessment, which will help us better understand your needs. Then, we will provide a recommended starting level of care. Most clients who attend our facility start their journey with one of the following programs.

If you or your loved one need help finding services like a detox program (as a precursor to treatment) or sober living near Promont Wellness, just let us know. The Promont Wellness team is here for you.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program in Philadelphia, PA, lets you get the most intensive outpatient care possible. Rather than living on-site at a treatment center, PHP clients at Promont Wellness attend treatment about 4-6 hours per day, five days per week, for group therapy, individual therapy, and other rehab services. After treatment is over for the day, you can return home or to sober living. PHP is usually less expensive than inpatient rehab because it does not include room and board. Sometimes, PHP is also preferable to clients who don’t need the around-the-clock supervision of an inpatient program and prefer living at home with their family or in a sober living environment that provides a balance of accountability and independence.

Our intensive outpatient program in Pennsylvania requires fewer treatment hours per week than a partial hospitalization program. However, IOP clients still attend our treatment center throughout the week for group therapy, individual therapy, and other rehab services. As a general rule, IOP clients can expect to attend treatment a few days per week for about 2-3 hours per day at a time, though this can vary depending on your treatment plan. IOP is a more adaptable option for clients who need to attend work or school while in treatment, but it can also be used to help clients transition out of a higher care level, like PHP.
