IOP Program Serving the Philadelphia Area
Promont Wellness’s Philadelphia intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed to help individuals struggling with addiction live a life of sustainable recovery. Through a combination of individual and group therapy, our IOP provides the structure and support needed to help clients develop healthy coping mechanisms, identify triggers, and develop a solid foundation for long-term recovery.
Many people put off the addiction treatment they need because of concerns about the cost and the time commitment. However, this level of care gives clients the opportunity to continue working, attending school, or taking care of responsibilities at home while receiving the intensive treatment they need to heal from addiction. Our Bucks County drug rehab accepts a wide range of insurance plans to make our intensive outpatient program as affordable as possible.
If you’re ready to take the first step towards a new beginning, don’t wait. Contact Promont Wellness today at 866.939.4243 to learn more about our intensive outpatient program in Philadelphia and how it can help you or a loved one recover from addiction.
What is an IOP Program?
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a type of treatment that provides intensive therapeutic services during the day but allows patients to return home in the evening. IOPs are usually recommended for people who have completed a residential treatment program and need additional support to maintain their sobriety or for those who need intensive treatment but cannot commit to a residential program. IOPs are intended for people who still require intensive treatment for mental health or substance abuse issues but do not require medical supervision or 24-hour medical care. It is frequently utilized as an alternative to hospitalization or as a step-down from residential or inpatient treatment.
An individual’s needs and progress can influence the length of an IOP program. It typically lasts a few months to several weeks. An IOP’s objective is to assist patients in developing the abilities and strategies they require to manage their symptoms and sustain long-term recovery.
Signs IOP is Right for You
Not sure if an intensive outpatient program is right for you or a loved one? Here are some signs that an IOP may be the best level of care:
- You have completed or been hospitalized in part and require ongoing support before moving on to more conventional outpatient therapy
- You are experiencing symptoms of mental illness ranging from moderate to severe, such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, that necessitate more intensive treatment than conventional outpatient therapy can offer
- You are battling substance abuse or addiction, have completed detox or a more intensive treatment program, but require additional support to keep their recovery going
- You have a mental illness and substance abuse diagnosis and require integrated treatment to address both
- You are still requiring intensive treatment but are unable to attend inpatient or partial hospitalization due to financial, family, or work-related obligations
- You need a treatment option that is more adaptable so that you can continue to fulfill your daily obligations and responsibilities while still receiving intensive therapy and support
- You have a strong support system at home
If you’re struggling with addiction and are not sure what level of care is right for you, our treatment team can help.

What clients say about us...
“I’d like to thank Courtney from the bottom of my heart. She helped me through the scary process of getting into treatment and then treated me with respect and compassion. The treatment process was scary, vulnerable and uncomfortable, but she did everything she could to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I have become an active member of the recovery community and could not have done it without the guidance and expertise Courtney provided throughout treatment.”
