Deborah is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) based in Bucks County PA. She received her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from Rider University. Over the past several years she has worked counseling clients and facilitating group therapy at a residential Dual Diagnosis Treatment facility. She has gained experience working with adults with anxiety, depression, trauma and substance use disorders. She has also counseled families and couples through this process helping them to improve communication skills, relationship dynamics and parenting abilities. In the evenings Deborah works in private practice offering one on one counseling. Her clinical expertise is in addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic health/pain conditions.
Deborah’s therapeutic style is founded on a person-centered and skills-based approach. She offers a combination of talk-therapy and the following modalities: CBT, DBT, ACT and Solution Focused techniques. These modalities incorporate mindfulness, challenging unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, coping with difficult emotions, and committing to actions that will bring meaningful direction back into one’s life. Deborah has extensive training in mindfulness and implements mind-bodied strategies during her sessions to help clients get in touch with their physical health and mental health. She enjoys working with her clients to identify their most pressing issues, construct appropriate coping strategies and create goals to improve their overall well-being.
